This recipe book and guide is part of a series for the slow food movement. This specific Slow book has been designed for Canadian recipes, keeping local ingredients in mind. Our series currently includes books from United States, Italy, Argentina, Denmark and Chile, and is constantly expanding.
This book does not only include local slow food recipes, but it also includes facts and further explanations of specific ingredients, which are found in these recipes.
The ingredients marked in a light pink are interactive and lead readers to another page, which includes facts about the specific ingredients. ‘Slow Foodies’ is split up into 3 main sections; slow, slower, and slowest. The slow section includes recipes that take up to an hour, the slower recipes take from 2 to 4 hours, and the slowest recipes take 5 hours or longer.
